Legacy Retirement Communities Celebrate Chefs Designation:
The management and residents of Legacy Retirement Communities are proud to announce that all members of the Legacy Dining Services team, led by Director Robert Darrah, were certified as Healthcare Chefs on November 4 after completing a comprehensive, intensive training program conducted by Don Miller & Associates. The Healthcare Culinary Academy program focuses on enhancing culinary skills and optimizing nutrition with fresh, delicious cuisine. Darrah and his team are currently the only Certified Healthcare Chefs in the Lincoln community.
This achievement is one more feather in the cap of one of the most successful culinary operations in Lincoln. In 2008, Director Darrah was recognized as Food Service Director of the Month by FSD Magazine, a national journal dedicated to outstanding dining and foodservice. In 2009, Legacy's Dining Services was awarded the "Gold Award of Excellence" at a national culinary conference in recognition of their outstanding commitment to excellence in service, food quality, and creative cuisine.
Darrah and the entire Dining Services team pride themselves on providing residents and guests with a five-star experience at every meal.
